Your
Citizens Community TV (cable channel 54) has recently leased a beautiful,
modest sized TV studio space in Louisville. It is located at 1075 South
Boulder Road, Suite 215, being in the Christopher Plaza business center,
northwest of the Hwy 42 and South Boulder Road intersection.
CCTV now has a new improved playback station, which will give us the ability
to provide much more variety in the TV programming schedule.
We've completed the big complex application for our 501c3, IRS charitable
organization status. In a few months, IRS should grant approve the application,
which will help us obtain grant and foundation funding. You can donated
tax-deductibly to Citizens Community TV anytime. Yes, we are not shy about
letting you know that we need your membership support and participation,
on any level or in any way that best suits you. Community media is only
as vital as the level of membership that keeps it going. The only way
that we can keep the Public Access TV station open for you is if we all
contribute a little something to keep it going and improving.
One exciting new development is the recent joint grant for CCTV54 to teach
TV producing and video making to local teenagers by means of the Lafayette
Youth Advisory Council. The teens are excited about getting started, as
we are too, once we get our new studio ready. Our new status as in independent
media station finds us in a new era of partnering with teen and educational
groups. After all, passing along the technology to area youth, helping
our young friends may be the most important step we can make for our future.
